I know i'm breaking the rule i set for myself... but i felt like blogging...
Yesterday was jts but right before that i had an outing with liang and nimiuh aka huimin aka riyo mori to suntec to watch Shrek the Third. So me and liang got there and waited for nimiuh who hurried over from Millenia Walk with her awesome engwah movie ticket vouchers. Cooool. Thanks huiminz. Yep Shrek was actually much better than i had expected after hearing so much about how bad it was. I kinda enjoyed it. The animation was good and the jokes were a combination of funny and corny. No regrets there. Then the 3 taonanites rushed to tampines to meet up with the other year 2s to head down to the chalet. Not surprisingly, we were like 3 mins late but ended waiting a further half an hour before everyone turned up :P Haha highlight of the half an hour at the bus interchange was valerie's "late but worth the wait" blouse. LOL. Oh and darren's haircut from Reds which garnered comments of "soo cute". Which reminds me... i BADLY need a haircut... much to my reluctance.
On to jts. When we first got there the first impression was of how small the "bungalow" which was actually a terrace, was significantly smaller than the one we had last year (which had facilitated the entire "haunted house" on the second floor... which i missed entirely -_-) Then the night proceeded and perhaps a result of bad planning and last minute work? But there were incessant complaints of "i'm bored" being thrown around. Then there was the farewell video which wasn't bad but wasn't a tear-jerker either. A for effort though. Hmm... The food was gooood. Then i stayed over and 24 brave teenagers decided to venture into the dark recesses of OCH on a trip that timothy, steph, xiaocui and myself decided not to take part in. It was then that the 4 of us had a nice long talk... Much more enjoyable than wondering around in the darkness in twos with drunkards lurking. So the 4 of us spent the entire time by the side of the road talking about faith and the like as well as various other matters... Rather fruitful i would say. Then everyone returned to the chalet and i watched Scream with a buncha people. Hahaha got quite funny when loadsa people started screaming their heads off.
Then i joined xiaocui and jonathan outside for a nice, long talk in the cool air of the early morning... all the way till it was light when phyllinda awoke and joined us. Guess i really got to know xiaocui better. Then there was the matter of por. Well i guess i got to see what i hoped to see... for awhile anyway. Then i realised how long it would be before the next time came and i felt sad. Hmm. Not much of a choice i guess? Haha maybe it'll make the heart grow fonder.
I once read on elizabeth's blog that one should never work towards making a relationship happen. I agree. It isn't like working to earn a living or studying for an exam. If everything falls through then it's a bonus (some sorta at least).
It's all up to Him right?
Just do the best we can. Just like i'm gonna do my best with the studying which isn't going very well at the moment.
Well bye then.
