Well well. Shit happens.
Went for SYF on monday to watch the VS juniors perform. The outcome wasn't what any one of us had hoped for or expected though. Mighty VSCB didn't our GWH or for that matter Gold. Must say the "Victoria School. Silver" was kinda hard t swallow though. There was some kinda weird silence for aout a second before everyone around me ie. the alumnis went "WHAT THE F***". I mean their performance was at leas worthy of a Gold. Or that was what all of us thought. Well shit happens. Heard all sortsa theories about what had happened, about points deductions for some reason and the lot. I have to say i felt really sorry for them not getting the award and all. Mervin and Eugene Yap did a really good job raising the morale afterwards though. Tears stopped flowing and everyone held their heads high. VSCB played well and didn't deserve what they got. In my opinion that is.
That kinda got everyone worried. More so for the VSCB/VJCSB people than the others. But after the subsequent shocking results for a host of other bands. I guess it was kinda obvious this year's judging is a whole new playing field. Work work work. We've gotta play so well that it would a mistake on the judges' part not to give us our award. THE award. So c'mon lets all work work work.
Hmm i realised that we can never judge people from their appearances. Let's just say someone who looked like someone-who-would-never-be-friendly-to-a-guy-like me said hi. And a real enthusiastic hi at that. Which i felt was strange considering i don't know that person all that well. Oh well. I wonder why such things happen.
Oh and one more thing. You know people always say to not regret not doing things. Okay maybe not people but it's quite a common idea right? Hmm... I saw something nice today. I feel happy.
Wonder if ill get to writing that letter and handing it over at the end of the year. After all i've got nothing to lose. Right?
Perhaps not.
