Chem on Monday and Bio on Tuesday. Somehow i feel almost too tired to quake at the notion that i have only the weekends plus anytime i manage to squeeze before and after the papers on Monday and Tuesday to study for Killer Chemistry and Biology. In addition to that i, like some other unfortunate people, have to take my common tests in the holidays whil everyone's free to roam the streets of Singapore or other offshore islands (ie Sentosa) in search of fun. Gosh the feeling of sitting in the LT knowing that your friends are off having fun or lazing at home sucks. Oh and i didn't mention this earlier but i'm probably gonna get a buncha Us for my common tests- for econs and maths as of now that is. Maths was all about sitting there looking at the test paper containing questions that seemed so familiar yet so foreign. Questions which i attempted to start on my foolscap pad only to arrive at a incoherent jumble of numbers and symbols which i eventually abandoned in favour of the next "tantalising" question. That aside, i feel tired. This whole science research thing has taken a whole lot out of me. First there were the reports which were completed sometime back, then the powerpoint presentations a.k.a. reliving the PW nightmare, then the NAV H3 presentation to some less than friendly, try-to-make-your-life-a-living-hell examiners and their armoury of mind-boggling questions to which you engage your creativity to come up with the most logical sounding load of bullscrap and hope that they don't signal your impending doom with a "No. That's wrong. It should be...". And last but not least, to top it all off, SSEF with the hoards of intimidating HCI, RJ and NJ people descending upon the annex hall in the Science Centre. Look at their poster, see "Determining and Quantification of Functional Biofliud Proxies", marvel at how profound it is and look away. Haha. By the way that was the project that awarded some RJ girl Gold in the fair. Just 2 booths down the row from where i was. Her other Gold-winning project was located somewhere else in the vast expanse of the hall.Yea so there i was with my less-than-30-dollar poster sitting in the midst of the professionally-done posters of the RJ-HCI-NJ bunch feeling supremely inferior. Hey the dude next to me from HCI even got to do his project on a super-expensive, 6-week MOE attachment at Harvard man. Other than the fact that i was being quite antisocial by attempting to study my Maths notes in silence i guess the little time i did spend interacting with the people around me did seem quite pleasant. Yea. Anyway the day before yesterday marked the end of the fair and VJ "clinched 2 Bronzes and 5 Merits". Haha they failed to mention the 5 Golds and countless Silvers, Bronzes and Merits that they got too in addition to the RJ and HCI people who did a whole lot better than us. So sad right? Oh well at least i did manage to get something out of SSEF. I'm happy with my Merit i guess. Nothing to shout about though.I miss practising. I miss band. I miss friends. I miss other special people. :pBack to Biology. Bye.
